Role Overview
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Sous Chef to join our busy kitchen team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a leadership role in a high-volume, fast-paced venue.
The role offers €20 – €23 per hour, depending on experience, with a structured 4-day work week, ensuring balance between work and personal life.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the Head Chef in leading the kitchen team and overseeing daily operations
Manage a section during service, ensuring quality, presentation, and consistency
Support in menu development, prep planning, and seasonal specials
Train, mentor, and supervise junior chefs, fostering teamwork and efficiency
Maintain strict standards of food safety, HACCP, and hygiene
Oversee stock control, ordering, and waste management to ensure cost efficiency
Stay calm and lead effectively during busy service periods
Qualifications
Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role within a professional kitchen
Strong leadership and communication skills
Excellent culinary skills and attention to detail
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of HACCP and food safety regulations
A positive, driven attitude with a genuine passion for food
Flexibility to work evenings and weekends
Previous experience working in Ireland essential
Fluent English and references required
