Our client, a leading power engineering provider to industrial, utility and renewable sectors across Ireland and the UK, is seeking an experiencedHigh Voltage / Medium Voltage Design Engineerto join their growing team.Role OverviewYou will support the design and delivery of HV/MV substation and power system projects, producing high-quality technical documentation and collaborating closely with internal teams, suppliers, and clients.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop HV/MV substation drawings, schematics, protection and control circuits.Produce panel layouts and installation drawings using Eplan and AutoCAD .Perform protection studies and configure protection/communication devices ( ETAP ).Prepare Functional Design Specifications and detailed automation/control system designs.Manage material take-offs, submittals, equipment procurement tracking, and documentation.Attend project meetings and ensure designs are constructible, compliant, and aligned with ISO standards.Support O&M manuals, as-built documentation, and technical coordination with suppliers.RequirementsDegree in Electrical Engineering.Minimum 5 years' HV/MV design experience .Strong understanding of electrical drawings and specifications.Proficient in MS Office; experience with Eplan, AutoCAD, ETAP is an advantage.Strong communication, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.Permanent role offering Competitive salary, Pension & life insurance and fast Career progression.
