Our client a busy commercial vehicle parts business based in Limerick is looking to hire a Counter / Sales Assistant to join our team. This is a full-time position suited to someone who is organised, customer-focused, and comfortable working in a busy trade environment. The role involves dealing with customers at the counter, handling phone enquiries, identifying and supplying truck and trailer parts, processing orders, and assisting with the day-to-day running of the parts department. The ideal candidate will have good communication skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Previous experience in truck, trailer, automotive, agri, or machinery parts would be a strong advantage, but training will be provided for the right person. Main Duties: Serving customers at the trade counter Handling telephone and email enquiries Identifying and supplying truck and trailer parts Processing invoices, orders, and payments Assisting with stock control and goods intake Maintaining a clean and organised work area Providing a high level of customer service at all times The ideal candidate will have: Good PC and organisational skills Strong customer service skills Experience in a sales or trade counter environment preferred Knowledge of truck/trailer parts an advantage Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Good attention to detail and willingness to learn Hours: Monday to Friday Half-day Saturday What we offer: 35-40k depending on experience Full-time permanent role Friendly and supportive working environment Opportunity to build experience within the commercial vehicle industry Benefits: Pension
