Grade III Clerical Officer
The Role:
To support the administration process of Wexford General Hospital.
The Person:
Candidates must have at the latest date of application:
1. Professional Qualifications, Experience, etc.
(a) Eligible applicants will be those who on the closing date for the competition:
1. Obtained at least grade D (or pass) in Higher or Ordinary Level in five subjects from the approved list of subjects in the Department of Education established Leaving Certificate Examination or Leaving Certificate Vocational Programme or Leaving Certificate Applied.
Or
1. Passed an examination of at least equivalent standard.
Or
1. Satisfactory relevant experience which encompasses demonstrable equivalent skills
And
b) Candidates must possess the requisite knowledge and ability, including a high standard of suitability and administrative ability, for the proper discharge of the office.

Other Requirements Specific to the post:
· All posts in Wexford General Hospital require a high level of flexibility to ensure the delivery of an effective and efficient service. Therefore, the post holder will be required to demonstrate flexibility as and when required.
· There is a requirement for some Departments to work 5/7. (This means that depending on the post you will be assigned to, you will be required to work unsocial hours over evenings, weekends and night duty).
· Access to appropriate transport to fulfil the requirements of the role
· Candidates will be required to take up duty within 3 months of receipt of the formal offer of employment.
