Web Applications Developer (Senior) Client: Government Sector Organisation Location: St.Do you have the following skills, experience and drive to succeed in this role Find out below.Stephens Green, Dublin 2 Working Model: Hybrid / Onsite Contract Duration: 24 Months Day Rate: €600 per day Start Date: Mid-March Eligibility: Candidates must hold an EU/Irish passport or a valid full-time Irish work permit.Sponsorship is not offered.Role Overview The Senior Web Applications Developer will support a Government Sector organisation in the design, development, enhancement, and support of modern web-based applications that underpin critical public services.The role is hands-on and spans the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), including development, testing, deployment, and production support.The role requires close collaboration with Information Management & Technology (IM&T), infrastructure and engineering teams, business stakeholders, and third-party vendors to deliver secure, scalable, and compliant digital solutions aligned with public sector standards.Mandatory Requirements Minimum 7 years experience as a Web Applications Developer Demonstrable experience in developing complex digital cloud-based solutions within the last year One or more of the following qualifications (or equivalent): Recognised Application Development certification Primary degree in a Technology / IT discipline Relevant qualification at NFQ Level 7 or higher Strong written and verbal communication skills Key Responsibilities & Deliverables Ongoing development, support, and maintenance of web applications across Production, Development, and UAT environments Support ad hoc technical and business requirements, including the promotion of systems across environments Contribute to solution architecture and technical design to meet business requirements and technical challenges Participate in system testing, defect tracking, and issue resolution Provide Subject Matter Expertise on web application technologies including Microsoft Power Platform, Power Apps, and Power BI Engage with IM&T teams, engineering teams, business stakeholders, wider public sector bodies, and third-party vendors to prioritise requirements and deliver value Participate across multiple phases of the SDLC, including design, development, deployment, and support Identify issues and recommend improved operational controls, procedures, and documentation Ensure systems are delivered within legal, functional, technical, and security constraints of the Departments operational infrastructure Collaborate with and support delivery from third-party vendors on behalf of the Framework Client Work closely with infrastructure, support, and engineering teams to ensure interoperability and compatibility with existing and future technologies Assist in resolving complex technical issues using Root Cause Analysis Maintain and update technical and operational documentation Provide weekly progress reports on assigned work Deliver training and knowledge transfer to Departmental staff CV Evidence Requirements (Mandatory) CVs must clearly demonstrate and provide evidence of the following competencies.Submissions that do not explicitly address these requirements may not be considered.Agile Team Experience: Working within an Agile team, using tools such as Azure Dev Ops or Jira to manage collaboration, workload, and delivery across multiple audiences throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).Web Application Development Expertise: Developing complex web applications using technologies such as Microsoft Power Platform, Power Pages, and Power BI, or equivalent platforms.Experience with Microsoft Dynamics or other enterprise-grade application packages is desirable.Stakeholder Communication: Communicating clearly and effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders at various levels, including senior management.
