Experienced HGV Mechanic with Wexford Bus

We are recruiting a qualified and experienced HGV mechanic to join our Technical Team, responsible for maintaining our fleet of over 60 modern coaches and buses at our maintenance facility in Drinagh, Wexford.
Job Description:
The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to high standards, show initiative, possess a positive attitude, and be eager to develop their career in the dynamic bus and coach industry.
Responsibilities include:
* Maintaining high vehicle standards through regular inspections.
* Servicing and repairing vehicles according to manufacturer specifications.
* Collaborating with the Operations Team to ensure service levels are met.
* Diagnosing faults using vehicle-specific software.
* Adhering to safety protocols and health & safety regulations.
* Documenting work performed using online and written systems.
* Continuously updating knowledge and skills.
Requirements:
* SOLAS registered HGV apprentice with three years of formal training completed, or experienced HGV mechanic with equivalent learning and experience.
* Excellent interpersonal skills.
* Good electrical knowledge with the ability to interpret diagrams and schematics.
* Proficient in diagnostics, familiar with modern diagnostic tools.
* Full car driving license; training for a D (Bus) license will be provided if not already held.
* Exceptional attention to detail.
* Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
Working hours:
Core hours are Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:00. A rotating weekend and on-call schedule is in place, with additional benefits. Wexford Bus is committed to continuous development and operates to ISO 9001 / 14001 standards.
