Full Job DescriptionWe are a leading residential developer in the Cork area with a number of ongoing and upcoming large scale residential developments. We are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor or experienced Project Surveyor to join or team.The ideal Quantity Surveyor will have a minimum of 5 to 7 years post graduate experience, proven experience leading domestic construction projects and strong reporting and presentation skills.This is an office based role with a requirement for regular site visits (all sites are located within the Cork urban area). The role offers a very competitive salary based on relevant experience in addition to further benefits.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare accurate cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports for construction projects.Manage and monitor project budgets, ensuring costs are controlled and the project remains within budget.Prepare tender documents, contracts, and procurement schedules, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.Conduct valuations and prepare interim applications for payment, as well as final accounts.Liaise with supply chain and subcontractors, negotiate pricing, and agree on contract terms.Assess monthly sub-contractor valuations, variations and final accountsWork closely with site team and project management team to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budgetRequirementsProficient in relevant software, such as Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Cubit, Buildsoft or other quantity surveying tools.Minimum of 5 years' experience in medium to large scale residential projects.Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, Commercial Management, or a related disciplineHigh level of accuracy and precision in cost measurement and financial reporting.Strong understanding of construction contracts, including RIAI, JCT, NEC, and other standard forms of contract.Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders.Familiarity with Building Information Modelling (BIM) and other digital construction techniques is an advantage but is not essentialFull drivers licenceJob Type: Full-timePay: €70,000.00-€90,000.00 per yearBenefits:On-site parkingWork Location: In person
