This role requires a professional with extensive experience in toolmaking to join our team. We are looking for someone who has a strong background in precision instrument making and can work effectively under pressure.
Job Description:
The Toolmaker is responsible for maintaining and repairing all high-precision moulds, including multi-cavity moulds, Hot Runner moulds; Valve-gated moulds; Stack moulds. They must compile standard specifications/procedures/records for each mould and monitor all existing moulds to standard specifications.
* Fitting and assembling parts to make, repair, or modify dies, jigs, gauges, and tools, using machine tools and hand tools.
* Working with the production and engineering teams in troubleshooting mould problems.
* Carrying out tool builds.
* Supporting initial tool trials and validations.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have a toolmaking qualification and over ten years of experience in the field. They should possess excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills, as well as a good knowledge of injection moulding tooling, trouble shooting, repair and maintenance.
A strong understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics would be an advantage.
