We are seeking an experienced Purchasing & Procurement Manager to lead a growing team and optimise a global supply chain. This is a full-time, permanent position based in Shannon, Co. Clare.

Responsibilities
The purchasing & Procurement Manager leads a team of three in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role will drive supplier performance, cost control, and inventory optimisation across a global supply chain, playing a key part in the company's growth. Responsibilities include:
1. Lead and manage an operational purchasing team of three, ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement of materials and components;
2. Develop and maintain strategic supplier relationships worldwide, driving improved quality, cost reductions, and supply consistency;
3. Monitor and deliver departmental KPIs on on-time delivery, supplier performance, stock levels, and cost savings;
4. Implement and oversee Supplier Managed Inventory (SMI) strategies with key vendors;
5. Identify and deliver freight cost savings and stock reduction initiatives;
6. Oversee purchase order creation, approvals, and compliance with the Approved Vendor List (AVL) and company policy;
7. Maintain and evolve procurement processes in line with ISO and QMS standards;
8. Collaborate cross-functionally with production, engineering, and warehousing to ensure inventory accuracy and material availability;
9. Support accurate forecasting and long-term supplier planning;
10. Mentor and develop purchasing team members to build a high-performing, results-driven function.

Criteria
16. Degree or diploma in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field;
17. Minimum 5 years' purchasing and procurement leadership experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment;
18. Proven track record in supplier management, cost reduction, and achieving performance targets;
19. Excellent commercial and financial acumen, with experience negotiating international supplier agreements and logistics contracts;
20. Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel;
21. Strong leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
