Ayrton Group are seeking a Health and Safety Officer for a full-time, permanent position in the Dublin region for a leading building contracting & project management company. The Health and Safety Officer will be responsible for advising on overall compliance in matters of Health & Safety in accordance with client policies and relevant statutory provisions. The HSO must lead by example and serve as a role model in mobilising the team and ensuring the highest standards of Health & Safety are adopted on-site.Responsibilities:Conducting regular, formal site audits and carrying out inspections as directed in the Safety Management System.Advise and instruct on various safety-related topics such as noise levels, use of machinery etc.Review existing policies and measures and update according to legislation.Assist in the initiation and organization of Health and Safety training for employees as needed.Inspect premises and the work of personnel to identify issues or non-conformity.Manage, develop, and maintain incident reporting and near misses and follow up actions, identifying root causes, and implementing changes to prevent reoccurrences.Reviewing SWP's (Safe Work Plans) for the tasks on-site.Carry out Inductions and Toolbox talks as required.Requirements:1+ years work experience in Health and Safety required.Relevant qualifications.
