Our client is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to manage the financial operations of its Irish sites. Responsibilities
* Prepare and deliver regular performance reports, providing insights into operational efficiency, output, and cost trends.
* Manage month-end and year-end close processes for multiple business units, ensuring all reporting deadlines are met with precision.
* Produce detailed management accounts, financial summaries, and variance analyses to support strategic decision-making.
* Oversee transactional activities including accounts payable, receivable, and reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.
* Build and maintain financial models to evaluate business performance and inform investment or improvement initiatives.
* Partner with operational and management teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and performance optimisation.
* Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and maintain strong internal financial controls.
* Monitor and report on capital and operational expenditures, ensuring effective cost management and governance across projects.
* Track core operating costs, identify areas for efficiency gains, and implement initiatives to enhance profitability.
Requirements
* Qualified Accountant.
* Strong technical accounting knowledge.
* PQE in a relatable industry.
* Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
