The role
Overview
Our client is the owner of a greatly loved cafe and cake shop in County Cork and they're seeking a pastry chef.
The Pastry Chef will be responsible for the quality, look and taste of all cakes, buns and breads in Cake Shop & Cafe. They will need to be able to work quickly and efficiently to meet the demands of the shop, as well as maintain high standards of hygiene and food safety.
Duties
Decorate and assemble cakes, breads and pastries according to recipes or customer specifications
Coordinate with other kitchen staff to ensure that all items are prepared correctly and on time
Keep work area clean and organized at all times
Follow food safety regulations
Requirements
Proven experience as a pastry chef
Excellent knowledge of baking techniques and ingredients
Strong creativity and attention to detail
Teamwork skills
Excellent organizational skills
Good communication skills
