We are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor who is looking to take their next step up into a Commercial Manager role to join one of Europe's largest Construction companies for their projects starting in Dublin on a permanent basis.
You will be responsible for overseeing the project's complete commercial functions. This includes liaising with the Senior Commercial Manager, managing budgets, cash flow, and liaising with JV partners, supply chain, and clients.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Ensure Pre-Construction project information is transferred to the project team
2. Support the initiation and setting up of projects
3. Advise on contractual matters and contractual approach with the client
4. Develop and implement commercial strategies to drive revenue and growth while minimizing costs
5. Advise and report regularly to the Senior Commercial Manager and Projects Director on contractual and Commercial matters
6. Manage interfaces between Project Director, operations, legal, and finance functions
7. Set financial targets, budgets, and track and monitor using key performance indicators
8. Provide commercial input into procurement strategies and evaluations for construction
9. Perfect knowledge of the Project Agreements and Subcontract Contracts conditions
10. Identify contractual grounds for entitlements and determine claim strategy
11. Prepare claims upstream and review and determine downstream
12. Ensure risk registers, change order/variation trackers are reviewed and updated monthly and included within monthly reports
13. Review notices and contractual correspondence
For the right person, this role is paying up to €120,000 plus car allowance and also a bonus tied to the project, which will depend on the profitability of the project.
