Bookkeeper (Full-Time or 4-Day Week Option) Are you an experienced Bookkeeper looking for a long-term opportunity with flexibility and a collaborative office environment? Were hiring a bookkeeper on behalf of one of our clients an accountancy firm based in Maynooth. This is a hands-on bookkeeping role that covers a wide range of accounting support activities. Youll join a close-knit team of 7 professionals, working across a client base that includes small to large businesses. Location:Fully on-site in Maynooth, Co. Kildare Type: Permanent, Full-time or 4-day week option Salary:€30,000- €35,000 + (Flexible DOE) Working Days/Hours:Monday-Friday 9am-5pm Key Responsibilities: Managing all bookkeeping tasks for a variety of clients Reconciling bank statements and handling purchase transactions Preparing and filing VAT returns via ROS, and reviewing VAT transactions Ensuring accurate VAT reporting and maintaining clean ROS records for clients Assisting with personal and corporate tax returns, including Form 11s and CT1s Handling year-end processes and bringing accounts to trial balance Preparing and submitting returns and trading details to Revenue Creating reports for ROS as needed Responding to client queries and providing support on accounting issues Qualifications & Experience: Accounting Qualification is required PQ, ATI-certified, or similar Experience with tax-related tasks (e.g., Form 11s, CT1s, or similar company/personal returns) is required Comfortable working independently and managing multiple client files Clear and professional in both written and verbal communication, with strong client-facing skills Highly organised, dependable, and capable of managing workload and meeting deadlines effectively Competent with accounting systems (experience with Sage is advantageous, but not required) Knowledge of payroll would be advantageous for occasional cover, but this is not essential Whats on Offer: Competitive salary: €30,000€35,000+, flexible depending on experience Work-life balance: Switch off when you leave the office Flexible hours: Reduced hours/ Early starts or later finishes whatever works best for you Supportive office culture within a growing firm For more information, please apply through the link provided for the attention of Nicole Sinnott or email your cv to Nicole to If you are interested in finding out more about the above role and would like to be considered other suitable roles that we may have available for your skill set please attach your CV via the link provided Please submit your updated CV in Word Format If you are living in Ireland and hold a valid work permit, we would love to hear from you, if however, you do not hold a valid work permit unfortunately we will not be in a position to assist you with your job search.
