Mechanical Project Engineer Role Overview
As a Mechanical Project Engineer, you will be responsible for leading projects from inception to completion, ensuring that all mechanical systems are designed and installed in accordance with project specifications.
Your Key Responsibilities:
* Undertake design reviews of drawings, specifications, and schedules to ensure compliance with industry standards and guides.
* Ensure works are installed in accordance with project specifications and quality assurance plans.
* Develop engineering alternative solutions, including detailed calculations and sketches for client approval.
* Familiarise yourself with design/IFC specifications and drawings to understand the scope of project works.
* Manage requests for information (RFI) and coordinate with the client.
* Review co-ordinated construction drawings and documentation, preparing technical submittals for client approval.
* Detailed review of specialist supplier packages for compliance with project specification and applicable industry standards.
* Prepare and monitor procurement schedules in conjunction with the procurement team.
* Review BCAR preliminary inspection plan and coordinate with the quality team.
You Will Need:
* A Level 7 or 8 degree in Mechanical Engineering.
* 5+ years' experience in a similar industry is desirable.
* Excellent IT skills, particularly in AutoCAD, Navisworks, and Microsoft Office Packages.
* Excellent time management and diagnostic skills.
* Ability to work in a team and on your own initiative.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to make decisions under pressure and work to strict deadlines.
