About the Investment Manager role
Goodbody Capital Partners ("GCP") is a private equity manager, that primarily manages AIB's private equity investment activities, by investing directly into establishedpanies (Direct Investments) and in seed, venture capital and private equity funds (Fund Investments).
We are looking to appoint an Investment Manager to join the Goodbody Capital Partners team to focus primarily on Direct Investments. Reporting to the Head of Private Equity, and as a team member, you will be responsible for the review, selection and execution of new investment opportunities and the ongoing management of existing investments.
Investment Manager Accountabilities include:
1. Provide initial investment review and screening of potential investment opportunities
2. Undertake extensivemercial and financial analysis to support potential investments
3. Assist in preparation and presentation of investment rmendations
4. Participate in execution and negotiation of new investments or investment disposals
5. Provide ongoing monitoring of investments, including strategy and financial reviews, budget reviews and potential M&A / Corporate Development opportunities for the businesses
6. Manage and provide guidance to junior team members on their work
7. Help build relationships with intermediaries and the financial advisorymunity
8. Assist in the recording, reporting and risk management of the equity portfolio, providing input into the quarterly valuation reporting process and escalating issues when appropriate
9. Be a collaborative and positive team player within GCP and other areas of Goodbody
Qualifications and Experience
10. Minimum 5 years' experience in investment, finance, financial analysis or a corporate finance background with good understanding of accounting, tax and legal contracts
11. A relevant graduate or post graduate degree. Investment or accounting qualifications would be an advantage (CFA / ACA preferred)
12. Relevant investment experience and preferably private equity principles
13. Proven track record of project delivery against challenging objectives and timelines
14. Sound knowledge of financial investment principles and legal, accounting and tax structures
15. Strongmercial acumen with supporting financial analysis skills and experience in Excel
