Program Manager (Contract) ERP

Job Overview
We are seeking a Contract Programme Manager to lead the delivery of retail workstreams within a multi-year transformation program for an enterprise client. The environment is dynamic, with multiple programs and projects, supported by a growing large PMO. The role reports to a portfolio manager and involves overseeing all retail projects from initiation to successful delivery.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead all retail projects, ensuring delivery aligns with strategic goals.
2. Translate transformation visions into actionable work packages that deliver value.
3. Collaborate with leadership to identify opportunities and develop a pipeline of initiatives.
4. Create and maintain detailed project plans, manage scope, forecasts, and resolve cross-functional issues.
5. Coordinate resources effectively according to project plans.
6. Engage with business stakeholders to identify innovative opportunities and secure funding for strategic initiatives.
7. Ensure requirements are well-documented and agreed upon through collaboration with stakeholders.
8. Work with third-party vendors on technical solutions, including RFPs, architecture, testing, and implementation.
9. Develop quality assurance plans to confirm successful delivery.
10. Manage migration activities, including user training and operational support planning.
11. Monitor risks, issues, dependencies, and escalate as necessary to senior stakeholders.
12. Track project progress, performance, and budget; ensure governance and reporting.
13. Contribute to program-level activities such as dependency management, governance, and delivery frameworks.
Candidate Profile
1. Degree in Commerce, IT, or a related field; PMP or Prince2 certification.
2. 10+ years of experience managing complex technology projects in large-scale environments, preferably in Retail, Consumer Goods, Supply Chain, or Distribution.
3. Strong commercial acumen with vendor and system integrator management experience.
4. Experience working with senior executives to develop project backlogs and strategic initiatives.
5. Knowledge of change management and business readiness techniques.
6. Familiarity with enterprise platforms and digital technology integration.
7. Experience with mergers & acquisitions, business restructuring, eCommerce, ERP, CRM, EPOS, mobile apps, or software development is advantageous.
