Job Title: Senior Microbiologist

Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Microbiologist to join our team in a permanent capacity. This is a key role within the microbiology team, supporting site operations by ensuring compliance with microbiological quality and regulatory standards. The role is not a bench-based position but is focused on quality assurance and oversight activities.
Duties
1. Provide microbiological guidance and site direction on quality and compliance issues.
2. Support laboratory investigations (LIR) and assess microbiological trends, including endotoxin results.
3. Oversee the Contamination Control Strategy (CCS) and ensure its effective implementation.
4. Lead or contribute to microbiological investigations, including root cause analysis and CAPA development.
5. Provide support during audits, including preparation for an expected HPRA audit in Q4.
6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure microbiological compliance in manufacturing operations.
7. Review and approve microbiological data, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
8. Support continuous improvement initiatives within the microbiology function.

Where You Come From
1. Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology or a related scientific discipline.
2. Proven experience in a microbiology role within a pharmaceutical or medical device environment.
3. Strong understanding of CCS, laboratory investigations, and contamination control principles.
4. Experience in providing microbiological oversight and direction to manufacturing operations.
5. Knowledge of regulatory requirements, including HPRA and EU GMP standards.
