Job Summary:
This role involves conducting comprehensive due diligence investigations on high-risk clients, including politically exposed persons and complex corporate structures. The successful candidate will have strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate financial crime risks.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct in-depth investigations into high-risk clients, including beneficial ownership structures and source of wealth information.
* Evaluate and analyze risk assessments, identifying areas for improvement and implementing mitigation strategies.
* Collaborate with relationship managers and business units to gather additional client information and provide expert advice on risk-based decisions.
* Prepare detailed reports and present findings to senior management, highlighting key risks and recommendations.
* Mentor junior analysts and contribute to the continuous improvement of EDD policies and procedures.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field, such as finance, law, or accounting.
* Minimum 5 years' experience in a related field, with a focus on risk assessment and due diligence.
* Relevant qualifications, such as ICA or ACAMS, are essential.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
