Job Summary
As a HR Manager at ÉireComposites, you will be responsible for recruitment, employee relations, contracts and compliance, performance management, and training. This role ensures compliance with employment laws and company policies, while promoting a positive and productive work environment. The HR Manager supports company goals through annual goal setting and appraisal. Finally, he/she will lead initiatives to enhance employee engagement, development, and retention.
Responsibilities:
As HR Manager at ÉireComposites, your deliverables will mainly include but are not limited to the below responsibilities:
1. Employee Relations & Communication
* Develop and implement fair HR policies.
* Guide and support managers with employee issues and conflict resolution.
* Monitor and handle disciplinary actions and investigations.
* Promote employee wellbeing, engagement, morale, and recognition.
* Ensure consistent, open communication across the company (open-door policy).
* Uphold a culture of performance, team collaboration, trust, and continuous improvement.
2. Recruitment, Performance & Talent Management
* Oversee recruitment: job descriptions, interviews, onboarding, contracts and reference checks.
* Ensure staffing levels meet budget and strategic needs.
* Champion employer branding to attract and retain talent.
* Support and drive Performance Management processes.
* Maintain up-to-date job descriptions for all roles.
3. Training & Learning Development
* Build and manage internal training systems for all roles and levels.
* Ensure training supports effective and efficient job performance.
* Oversee cross-training to minimize skill gaps and cover absenteeism.
* Maintain central training records and procedures.
4. HR Operations
* Coach and mentor managers/employees to foster ownership and engagement.
* Monitor absenteeism and timekeeping; apply corrective actions when needed.
* Manage employee absences, including long-term and injury-related leave.
* Support with employee benefits, budgeting, and HR reporting.
Requirements
Education and Experience
* Bachelor's degree in business studies specialising in human resource management or equivalent course/qualification/prior experiences will be considered
* Broad knowledge and experience in employment law, benefits, organisational development, employee relations and training & development.
* 5+ years human resources experience with at least two of these in a HR leadership role.
* Previous manufacturing / research site experience is desirable but not essential.
* Knowledge of ISO/quality standards is desirable but not essential.

* Excellent communication (written & verbal).
* Must be able to demonstrate a professional approach, self-motivation in completing assigned tasks, and must be willing to update their skillset in the company's core business areas.
* Open to ongoing learning, development, and cross training.
* Fluency in Irish is desirable but not essential.
