The role
OverviewAs an Engineering Maintenance Technician at Pfizer, you will play a critical part in managing maintenance and reliability engineering activities, including the redesign, maintenance, and repair of utilities systems, buildings, and production/non‑production equipment. Your work supports Pfizer’s goal of delivering medicines to patients worldwide.ResponsibilitiesContribute to projects, manage own time to meet agreed targets, and develop plans for short‑term work activities.Provide engineering support for scope of work, project execution plans, and associated engineering studies for equipment and component installation or modification.Review preventive and corrective work order activities, equipment maintenance history and ensure calibration compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GxP).Participate in root cause failure analysis (RCFA) investigations and update reliability plans.Partner with Production and Quality Team Leads on troubleshooting, scheduling, and safety assessments.Act as liaison between quality, operations, and regulatory/compliance to facilitate timely closure of investigations.Assist in the development and execution of the Preventive Maintenance program and maintain the Maintenance Management database (EAMS).QualificationsDiploma/Degree in an Engineering/Technical Discipline or Electrical/Mechanical Trade.3+ years of experience in maintenance engineering, root cause failure analysis, PM/PdM optimization, or failure modes and effects analysis.Strong knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices and current aseptic practices.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Experience with commissioning, qualification, start‑up, and production support activities.Experience using Engineering Maintenance Management systems such as EAMS.Hands‑on troubleshooting capability across mechanical and electrical systems with ability to interpret electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and logic diagrams.Experience with process automation systems, PLC diagnostics, and instrumentation (desirable).Good computer literacy and documentation skills, including proficiency in MS Excel.Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (nice‑to‑have).Relevant pharmaceutical experience (nice‑to‑have).BenefitsCompetitive salary and shift allowanceMultiple permanent positions availableAnnual bonus and share schemesPension scheme and long‑term income protectionHealthcare for you and your familyCareer development opportunitiesSubsidised canteen, health and wellbeing initiatives, on‑site gym and leisure facilitiesEqual Employment OpportunityPfizer is an equal opportunity employer.
