Role context
An opportunity has arisen for an individual to join the ROI Risk & Compliance Team as a Regulatory Relationship Consultant. The successful candidate will support the team in meeting regulator requirements and expectations, coordinating activities such as information requests and meetings to support regulatory relationships.
The role
* Work closely with team members to ensure timelines with regulators are appropriate and achievable.
* Develop understanding of regulatory relationships to help meet CBI expectations.
* Coordinate thematic reviews and deep dives from the CBI, including information requests and interviews.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory developments and discussions with regulators.
* Liaise with the business to ensure timely completion of Risk Mitigation Programmes (RMPs) issued by the CBI, with clear ownership and accountability.
* Produce qualitative and quantitative MI for reporting to Boards and Committees.
* Support in preparing briefing packs for Board members and Executives meeting the CBI.
* Manage controls framework for regulatory engagement tracking.
* Ensure deadlines and standards are met for CBI requirements.
* Provide note-taking support during regulator discussions and produce summaries for senior management.
* Assist in compliance assurance reviews, including management actions and assurance reports.
* Support compliance consultancy across the business, covering queries, projects, and initiatives, including controls within the Regulatory Compliance Policy.
* Understand life and pensions products and markets.
* Knowledge of relevant laws and practices.
* Strong judgment, drive, and influencing skills at all organization levels.
* Experience in stakeholder management.
* Knowledge of Irish financial services and regulatory context.
* Understanding of CBI processes and philosophy.
* Legal, financial, or risk management qualification or equivalent experience.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
* Organizational skills, ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and be self-directed.
* Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Explorer.
