Role Overview
Gourmet Food Parlour is seeking a passionate and results-driven Restaurant Events & Private Bookings Specialist to lead the promotion and coordination of private dining experiences across our restaurant locations. This role is ideal for someone with a flair for hospitality, relationship-building, and event coordination. You will work closely with our culinary and operations teams to deliver tailored, unforgettable events, from hen parties and communions to corporate functions and celebrations. The position is primarily on-site, with frequent client meetings and venue tours to showcase our restaurant spaces.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Client & Relationship Management
* Serve as the primary contact for all private booking and event inquiries.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
* Ensure excellent customer experience from inquiry to post-event follow-up.
* Conduct client meetings and site visits to understand event goals.
Event Planning & Coordination
* Collaborate with culinary and front-of-house teams to create bespoke event plans.
* Develop proposals, menus, and event packages.
* Capture and communicate dietary requirements and logistics.
* Manage event schedules and timelines for flawless execution.
Sales & Business Development
* Promote private dining and event offerings across locations.
* Identify new opportunities through networking and outreach.
* Handle negotiations, contracts, quotes, and invoices.
* Maintain knowledge of menus and services to upsell effectively.
Venue Management & Promotion
* Oversee the event calendar for optimal bookings.
* Coordinate staffing and logistics for events.
* Represent the brand at networking and promotional events.
* Update promotional content for social media and website.
Required Skills & Abilities
* Experience in event sales, hospitality, or event coordination.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Ability to multitask and manage multiple timelines.
* Negotiation, deal-closing, and contract management skills.
* Creativity, attention to detail, and trend awareness.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
* Availability for evening and weekend work.
Desirable Skills & Abilities
* Experience in hospitality settings like restaurants or hotels.
* Experience with venue tours and professional proposals.
* Familiarity with event planning software or POS systems.
* Interest in food, dining, and creating memorable experiences.
* Experience in content creation or social media promotion.
