My client, a growing Irish business based in Louth, which has expanded its operations in recent years, is looking to recruit a Head of Finance, to play a key role in it's next phase of growth. You will be a Financial Controller / Finance Manager looking for a new challenge and to be part of a growing business. You will ideally have 6+ years relevant hands-on financial management experience within a medium/large sized business, and be able to demonstrate strong people management and commercial experience. Experience within senior finance role within a manufacturing business would be beneficial. This role will involve significant interaction with non-finance stakeholders and the Senior Management of the business, so strong communication and influencing skills are crucial. Job Duties & Responsibilities Responsible for the production of timely, accurate weekly and monthly financial reports including Management and Board pack reports. Act as primary liaison with external auditors. Manage and comply with all financial regulations, standards, reporting requirements and tax filing deadlines. Influence and advise senior business leaders in relation to the business's strategic objectives. Oversee the businesss cash flow, ensuring robust financial health. Prepare and manage forecasting and budgeting processes. Analyse financial performance, providing insights to facilitate informed decision-making. Lead and manage a Finance team, including supervising team members, recruitment and development. Oversee the businesss cash flow, ensuring robust financial health. Collaborating with Operations to develop precise budget forecasts and monitoring of financial performance. Oversee the businesss cash flow, ensuring robust financial health. Ensure financial controls are effective and being appropriately applied company-wide conforming to established regulations Play a lead role in product and process costing. Focus on cost optimization and resource allocation. Develop a range of appropriate KPIs to monitor performance.. Engage with key stakeholders, including Board of Directors, Banks, Auditors, Insurance companies, and regulatory bodies. Identify improvements to both financial processes and systems and make changes as required. Education & Skills Required A recognized accounting qualification with at least 5 years of post-qualification experience You will ideally have at least 2+ years experience of working in a senior finance role within a manufacturing business, with strong exposure to cost management/Accounting. Strong knowledge of ERP systems, with the ability to leverage technology for efficient financial management. Strong analytical skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a broad range of business functions Strong people management experience. Track record of process and systems improvement. Excellent oral and written communication. Strong ability to prioritise work and manage deadlines.
