About Your New Job
As Senior Commercial Underwriter you will manage the underwriting and management of Property, Liability and Commercial Combined portfolios for direct and broker channels, as well as covering new business, renewals, mid-term adjustments in line with risk threshold and underwriting standards.
You will review and assess portfolio performance, pricing sufficiency and risk exposure to drive profitability, improve retention and support the delivery of financial and operational objectives.
You will manage day-to-day portfolio activity including renewals, policy issuance, insurance surveys, reinsurance support and accurate file maintenance, ensuring full compliance with legislative, regulatory and audit requirements.
As Senior Commercial Underwriter you will develop effective relationships with direct and broker clients, provide technical underwriting guidance and training and mentor junior underwriters.
What Skills You Need
Demonstrated expertise in managing and underwriting Property, Liability, and Commercial Combined portfolios.
Skilled in analysing portfolio performance, assessing pricing adequacy, and evaluating coverage to support financial objectives.
Strong ability to develop and maintain relationships with clients and brokers, provide guidance and training to team members, mentor junior underwriters, and collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders.
