Position: Occupational Therapist Autism Assessment Location: Republic of Ireland (Remote/Hybrid Options Available) Employment Type: Flexible, Contract / Part-Time / Full-Time Overview This is an exciting and rewarding role within a dynamic clinical setting, providing high-impact diagnostic assessments for individuals suspected of having Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The role involves conducting comprehensive assessments using gold-standard tools, writing professional reports, and recommending evidence-based interventions. Key Responsibilities Conduct detailed ASD assessments in line with current best practices and diagnostic criteria. Coordinate assessments as part of a multidisciplinary team, including psychologists, SLTs, and assistant staff. Prepare comprehensive post-assessment reports, including tailored recommendations and next steps. Provide follow-up support and guidance to families. Manage caseload effectively and maintain accurate clinical documentation. Engage in professional supervision and contribute to the development of clinical processes. Essential Qualifications & Experience BSc in Occupational Therapy or equivalent recognised qualification. Current CORU registration (Occupational Therapy division). Eligible to work in the Republic of Ireland. Experience conducting neurodevelopmental or ASD assessments with children. Familiarity with DSM-5 criteria and tools relevant to Autism diagnosis (e.g. ADOS-2, ADI-R). Strong background working with children with neurodevelopmental disorders in a clinical setting. Excellent communication, report writing, and teamwork skills. Desirable ADOS-2 and/or ADI-R trained. Experience supervising junior clinicians or students. Interest in contributing to service development as the clinic grows.
