Overview
We are hiring a
Respiratory Physiologist
to lead a Hospital in Tralee, Ireland.
Responsibilities
Perform a range of respiratory diagnostic tests, including spirometry, lung function testing, and sleep studies, in accordance with international best practice.
Assess, monitor, and record patient respiratory function accurately and efficiently.
Ensure all respiratory and sleep investigations are conducted safely, ethically, and in compliance with hospital policies and professional standards.
Interpret test results and prepare clear, accurate reports for consultants and the multidisciplinary team.
Provide clear explanations and reassurance to patients before, during, and after procedures.
Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team to support high-quality patient care.
Maintain and calibrate respiratory equipment, ensuring it is functioning correctly and safely at all times.
Adhere to infection prevention, data protection, and clinical governance requirements.
Participate in service development, quality improvement initiatives, and ongoing professional education.
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and contribute to audit and research activities where required.
Requirements
Candidates must hold a BSc in Clinical Measurement, MPPM, or an equivalent qualification.
Previous experience in a respiratory or clinical physiology setting is desirable.
Applicants must demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
The ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team is essential.
Candidates should show a high level of individual initiative, organisation, and professional responsibility.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to clinical accuracy and patient safety are required.
