Job Summary:
The Assistant Accommodation Manager plays a pivotal role in delivering The Grace Westport Estate's service standards by supporting the Accommodation Manager in managing the full spectrum of operations. This position is responsible for maintaining set standards of hotel bedrooms, public areas, and efficient laundry services, while ensuring strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental protocols.
Principle Responsibilities
* Coordinate and oversee day-to-day operations across bedrooms, public areas, and laundry facilities.
* Conduct regular inspections to uphold cleanliness, safety, and brand standards.
* Lead, mentor, and evaluate supervisors and attendants, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and professional growth.
* Deliver ongoing training and cross-training to ensure a skilled and engaged workforce.
* Respond to guest feedback with professionalism and empathy, taking ownership of resolution to ensure satisfaction.
* Anticipate guest needs and deliver service in alignment with brand standards.
* Manage inventories, requisitions, and departmental supplies with a focus on cost control and sustainability.
* Ensure proper handling, storage, and use of materials and equipment.
* Maintain cleaning logs and inspection reports in line with health & safety requirements.
* Champion compliance in all safety and quality standards.
* Work in collaboration with the Accommodation Manager to review daily schedules, guest requirements, and performance data.
* Recommend and implement process improvements to optimize efficiency and service delivery.
* Work with the Accommodation Manager in maintaining budgets, cost efficiency while maintaining high standards.

Required Experience & Skills
* Minimum 2 years of managerial experience in the hospitality industry; preferably in Accommodation.
* Strong knowledge of accommodation best practices, safety regulations, and public health standards.
* Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Results-driven, with a commitment to continuous improvement and compliance.
* Eligibility to work in Ireland.
