We are Hiring Assistant Director of Nursing to a lead Nursing care home in Wexford, Ireland Responsibilities Provide strong clinical leadership to the team and the overall service.
Lead and enhance the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care to all residents.
Promote and uphold person-centred practices that support residents' physical, emotional, social, intellectual, and spiritual needs.
Conduct regular audits and implement effective action plans.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all relevant regulations, standards, and best-practice guidelines.
Contribute to workforce planning and employment decisions, including recruitment, mentoring, and applying appropriate performance management measures.
Support and empower floor managers to carry out their roles effectively.
Mentor, guide, and monitor staff in both management and clinical decision-making.
Review operational performance from business and financial perspectives and assist in achieving financial targets.
Proactively identify risks and ensure appropriate reporting, escalation, and management.
Make informed decisions that support service objectives while remaining within budget.
Chair and actively participate in clinical and governance meetings.
Requirements Registered General Nurse (RGN) with a minimum of 3 years' experience within the last 6 years in the care of older persons.
At least 3 years' experience in a management role within the health or social care sector.
Current registration with NMBI.
Post-registration management qualification in health or a related field.
Post-registration qualification in dementia care or gerontology is highly desirable.
Strong working knowledge of HIQA standards and regulatory requirements.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with residents, families, staff, management, and external stakeholders such as HIQA, HSE, and GPs.
Strong planning, organisational, people management, and financial management abilities.
