Job OverviewThis is a 12‑month fixed‑term contract. The Associate Scientist will design and execute beverage concentrate formulations, ensure data accuracy across systems, and support the successful progression of projects from development to implementation within the R&D network, contributing to global innovation and commercialization.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and execute concentrate formulations for innovation and reformulation projects, ensuring alignment with technical requirements for specific beverage formulations.Apply understanding of ingredient functionality (sweeteners, acids, stabilizers, flavors) to optimize formulation performance.Build and maintain accurate, audit‑ready formulation data, ensuring consistency across systems, and implement updates as needed.Evaluate concentrate formulations, including sensory and analytical assessment (appearance, aroma, taste, pH, Brix, etc.).Identify and resolve discrepancies in formulation data, ensuring data integrity.Support scale‑up activities and troubleshoot formulation or process‑related challenges.Interpret test results, write technical reports, and communicate information within the organization.Prepare, label, store, and manage concentrate samples, ensuring full traceability (code, version, date, status).Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (Product Development, Supply Chain, Quality) to support project delivery.Manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.Ways of WorkingHigh attention to detail and data accuracy.Proactive, solution‑oriented mindset.Comfortable navigating evolving project requirements.Strong sense of ownership and accountability.Effective communication across teams and functions.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field.Minimum 1 year of experience in food, beverage, or ingredient manufacturing.Familiarity with basic laboratory techniques relevant for food or beverage applications.Strong communication and organizational skills.Ability to work effectively with cross‑functional and geographically distributed teams.Experience with Optiva, SAP, or similar systems is a strong plus.Total RewardsCompetitive salary and bonus structure, private medical care, pension contributions, and holiday entitlements.Global exposure and opportunities for travel within a multinational company.Hybrid work schedule and free parking on‑site in Newbridge.Commitment to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.KDP Ireland is an equal opportunity employer and affirms diversity in its workforce.
