Job Opportunity: Finance Leadership
We are seeking an experienced finance professional to drive our financial success. As a key member of the leadership team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our company's financial direction.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure compliance with new client onboarding policies and risk management procedures.
* Manage project data on our project management platform, ensuring accurate and complete information is uploaded for new and existing clients.
* Oversee the production of sales invoices in conjunction with delivery teams, guaranteeing timely and accurate invoicing.
* Develop and implement improved processes for invoicing, applications, and work-in-progress (WIP).
* Assist with credit control, particularly in resolving queried or overdue debts.
* Coordinate the collation of management accounts information from teams, liaising with the central finance team to produce divisional management information.
* Review project profitability and provide recommendations where possible.
* Verify WIP balances across different locations.
* Coordinate the annual budgeting process by teams, collating information, and submitting budgets in line with company policy and timetable.
* Manage the orders and prospects database by team, updating monthly submissions.
* Supervise support staff in collating financial information.
* Oversee divisional overhead expenditure against budget, ensuring effective cost control.
Requirements:
* A qualified accountant with experience working in a similar role, preferably in an engineering consultancy or contracting business.
* Knowledge of construction-specific payment mechanisms and applications for payment.
* Experience supporting the resolution of payment disputes.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with attention to detail and tenacity.
* Proficiency in MS Office and ideally Navision accounting system knowledge.
