Quantity Surveyor – Residential (North Tipperary)A Quantity Surveyor is requiredfor a leading residential developerworking on a major 300+ unit housing development in North Tipperary. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious QS to join a growing team and take on a key commercial role in a long-term, large-scale residential project from its very beginning.The successful candidate will support the project team in cost control, procurement, subcontractor management, and commercial reporting, ensuring the project is delivered efficiently, competitively, and within budget. This is a 3-year project with strong potential for future work on upcoming developments in the region.Duties:• Prepare, review, and manage project budgets, cost plans, and financial forecasts.• Oversee tendering, procurement, and subcontractor package management for residential construction works.• Monitor project costs, valuations, variations, and change orders.• Liaise closely with the Project Manager, Site Team, subcontractors, and suppliers to maintain accurate cost control.• Prepare monthly cost reports, progress claims, and financial updates for senior management.• Support contract administration, including issuing instructions and assessing subcontractor claims.• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, company procedures, and client requirements.• Contribute to commercial problem-solving and ensure risks are identified and managed.Requirements:• Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline.• 2–4 years' experience working as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally on residential or housing development projects.• Strong understanding of budgets, procurement, and contract administration.• Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills.• Proficient in Microsoft Office and cost management/reporting tools.• Ability to work effectively as part of a project team and manage multiple commercial priorities.• A proactive, detail-focused approach with strong financial awareness.Salary & Benefits:• Salary circa€60–70k, depending on experience.• Excellent benefits package.• Strong progression opportunities with additional planned projects in the area.If you are a Quantity Surveyor with residential experience and are interested in a long-term role in Nenagh, please send your CV or contact Amy Maguire for a confidential discussion.Email: GPC will not send any applicant's CV to clients without full discussion and prior consent.GPC is a specialist construction recruitment consultancy based in Dublin with over 27 years' experience placing construction professionals across Ireland and internationally.
