Role overview:
You will direct and coordinate the activities of matrixed individuals working on customer engagements spread over a number of projects. The person will be responsible for managing related projects in a coordinated way to obtain benefits and control. You will be responsible for coordinating with multiple internal practice leads/project managers to ensure success for customer projects/deliverables.
Responsibilities:
* Drives all aspects of Technical Delivery management activity, including understanding technical deliverables, collaborating and coordinating across the organization.
* Defines Delivery value proposition, work plan, resource needs, timeline, and budget for global programs.
* Strong background in applications development, maintenance, upgrade, or transformation.
* Manages resources (i.e., capital requirements and human capital) to complete the delivery objectives on time, within scope, and on budget.
* Manages multiple large and complex projects, programs, or small portfolios that require high levels of functional and technical integration and change.
* Ensures that the deliverables adhere to the standards and follow the agreed methodology throughout the project lifecycle.
* Drives delivery decisions to support the organizational and customer’s strategic direction and business objectives.
* Responsible for identifying and obtaining support and advice required for the management, planning, and control of the Delivery.
Requirements:
* 12+ years of experience in IT industry in Engineering led delivery in a customer-facing leadership role.
* Strong experience in leading the delivery of technical/data-focused projects within large, highly matrixed organizations. This experience must include delivery management, with a proven ability to coordinate and oversee multiple stakeholders across various functions and geographies.
* Ability to operate with significant autonomy and discretion.
* Financial industry compliance awareness, good financial acumen around cost and efficiencies.
* Multiple delivery methodologies including Agile, Waterfall, and DevOps.
* Spread of technical skills including Legacy, Cloud, API, Automation Testing, with specialization in at least one.
* Advanced ability to ensure that effective delivery controls are in place to monitor project or program performance.
* Advanced capability at providing effective performance reporting for the customer in order to monitor the progress of the Program.
* Advanced understanding of the links and dependencies between the projects and other in-flight projects and/or business initiatives.
* Problem-solving skill – Exposure to work on abstract and complex problems requiring evaluation of intangible variables.
