Sous Chef – Production
We are seeking a highly skilled Sous Chef to lead our kitchen team in Wexford. This role offers an excellent balance of work and personal life, with no weekend shifts required.
The successful candidate will support the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring consistent quality and efficient processes while leading a skilled team of professionals.
Key responsibilities include:
* Assisting the Head Chef in managing kitchen production and maintaining high standards of quality.
* Supervising and training kitchen staff to achieve consistency and efficiency in their work.
* Maintaining rigorous HACCP and food safety standards at all times.
* Supporting menu planning, prep schedules, and batch cooking to meet business needs.
* Ensuring a clean, safe, and well-organized kitchen environment that meets health and safety regulations.
Requirements for this role include:
* Previous experience as a Sous Chef or strong Junior Sous in a production or high-volume kitchen environment.
* Excellent leadership and organizational skills to manage kitchen operations effectively.
* Strong knowledge of HACCP and food safety procedures to maintain high standards.
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
* Flexibility to work either early or late shift, Monday to Friday, to meet business demands.
