Why this role exists
This role is responsible for supervising the warehouse operative team with the aim of the efficient receiving, handling, storing, packing and rotating stock thus ensuring that Brennan & Company customers get the products they ordered, on time and in perfect condition.
Tasks and Responsibilities
* Supervise a team of Warehouse Operatives
* Act as first point of contact for Warehouse queries
* Monitor and report on a range of KPI's as agreed with the Logistics Compliance Manager.
* Organize and deliver relevant training as authorized by the Logistics Compliance Manager.
* Responsible for receiving and inspecting deliveries and ensuring that safe unloading procedures are followed
* Ensure that incoming materials are consistent with the accompanying paperwork, are in good condition and are stored and stacked according to product storage requirements and company procedures
* Ensure returned stock is received and receipted in accordance with procedures
* Pick, count, assemble and pack orders ensuring that stock is in good condition and that the order is consistent with the accompanying paperwork
* Check lot numbers and expiry dates on stock in accordance with procedures and ensure appropriate rotation
* Assign monthly expiring and expired stock checklists received from the Logistics Compliance Manager.
* Stock taking and stock control
* Complete daily/weekly temperature checks in accordance with agreed procedures
* Monitor and log dispatched & return of specialized crates for cassettes
* Work in accordance with company policies and procedures ensuring quality standards are adhered to
* Keep a safe, tidy and clean place of work for warehouse personnel, other employees and visitors
* Operate the forklift in accordance with agreed procedures
* Ensure all aspects of health and safety are adhered to, reporting any issues as required
* Assist drivers with loading the vans for deliveries as required
* Provide day to day support to Head of Operations
* Other ad hoc duties, projects and assignments as needed or directed
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE required
* Previous people management experience in a warehouse environment
* Good numeric ability and excellent attention to detail
* IT literate and bar code scanning experience essential.
* Team worker with strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively at all levels in and outside the company
* Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, managers and clients
* Ability to multi-task, skill in establishing priorities and managing workloads
* Excellent customer relationship skills with ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
* Ability to be flexible and to adapt and work effectively with a variety of situations or individuals
* Basic IT skills in excel/word/outlook desirable
* Forklift License
* Clean drivers' license
