Summary
Goldman Sachs Fund Services Limited (GSAMFSL) is the Dublin based management company and global distributor of GSAM’s Alternative Investment Fund and UCITS Fund range. The team is responsible for risk management and oversight of the Fund range. In this capacity, the team interacts with a variety of stakeholders in the GSAM business, including Portfolio Management, Sales, Product Development, Legal, Compliance and Risk, as well as our Board(s). This role sits within GSAM Division Management and will provide a unique opportunity for the candidate to gain a broad exposure to the workings of GSAMFSL, and the broader GSAM business globally.
The candidate will have the opportunity to lead and be a key contributor for strategic initiatives and projects aimed at supporting the business objectives of GSAMFSL. The candidate will also be expected to take ownership of key aspects of reporting for the business and relevant Board of Director(s).
This is a unique opportunity to be part of a multi-faceted role within Goldman Sachs, and be a key contributor as the entity continues to develop.
Primary Responsibilities
* Produce regular reporting on fund flows, performance, and strategy
* Produce presentation materials and business updates for senior management and Board of Directors
* Review and maintain governance materials for Board of Directors and senior Key Function holders
* Identify opportunities for strategic enhancement of existing processes to ensure organisational effectiveness
* Develop and execute streamlined reporting, adapting to the evolving needs / focus areas of the business
* Participate as key contributor or lead in projects to evaluate impact of, and ensure compliance with, new business initiatives and evolving regulations
* Participate as a key contributor or lead on internal working groups aimed at ensuring appropriate risk management and governance for our Fund range
* Keep abreast of major developments in the industry (i.e. regulations, product, etc.) that create new opportunities or challenges to our business.
Basic Qualifications
* 2+ years of relevant industry experience
* Ability to work to deadlines, and adapt in a fast paced and dynamic environment
* Strong organizational, business writing, communication and time management skills
* Ability to develop strong relationships with key stakeholders and delegates across the organisation
* Desire to continually learn and ability to manage multiple priorities
Preferred Qualifications
* Knowledge of mutual fund industry and general interest in financial services
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
