My client is looking for a Data Scientist with a minimum of 3 years of experience to join their organisation in Limerick.
This is a permanent role.
Key Skills and Experience: Proven experience applying machine learning techniques to industrial or manufacturing environments Strong proficiency in Python and common data science libraries (e.g., pandas, scikit-learn, Tensor Flow or Py Torch) Solid understanding of time-series analysis, anomaly detection, and statistical process control Experience working with manufacturing systems such as MES, PLCs, historians, and industrial data pipelines (e.g., SQL) Familiarity with integrating operational technology and IT systems (e.g., SCADA, OPC UA) Background in sectors such as life sciences, pharmaceuticals, Med Tech, or similar regulated industries is advantageous Responsibilities: Identify and define high-impact use cases to improve manufacturing operations and performance Develop and deploy machine learning models to optimise production processes and outcomes Translate shop-floor challenges into structured data problems and scalable technical solutions Build business cases for implementing new manufacturing technologies and digital solutions Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide technical expertise during client engagements and workshops Support the configuration, optimisation, and ongoing improvement of manufacturing and data systems
