This position requires proactively generating new business opportunities within the commercial office furniture and interior fit-out sectors. You will develop and implement strategies to secure long-term business contracts and key accounts, identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell within existing client accounts by introducing innovative products and tailored layout solutions, build and manage a strong sales pipeline, ensuring consistent lead generation and conversion, lead high-value client projects, ensuring a seamless process from initial consultation through to final delivery and installation, act as the key liaison for clients, ensuring exceptional service and timely resolution of any project issues, support the sales team with lead generation, detailed client proposals, and bid/tender submissions, work closely with the Category Manager to source products, develop pricing strategies, and win competitive tenders, assist in the creation of compelling visual presentations, layout plans, and product information to enhance client pitches.
The successful candidate will have at least 5 years' experience in business development or sales within the furniture, interior construction, or commercial fit-out sectors. They should possess a practical understanding of kitchen fitting, workspace planning, or interior build projects, with a strong eye for layout and functionality. A proven ability to identify and close new business opportunities across a range of sectors is essential. The individual must be a strong relationship builder with experience in managing complex client accounts and long-term contracts. Excellent project management skills, with the ability to deliver results on time and within budget, are also required. Solid knowledge of the Irish commercial interiors and furniture market, including client needs, competitor activity, and emerging trends, is necessary. Experience contributing to or leading tender submissions, bids, or large-scale proposals is advantageous.
