Key Responsibilities
* Support the Executive Head Chef in day-to-day kitchen operations, maintaining consistently high standards.
* Assume leadership in the Head Chef's absence, upholding kitchen performance, effective communication, and quality excellence.
* Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop menus, recipes, and seasonal dishes that showcase culinary expertise.
* Monitor kitchen expenses, including food costs, purchasing, and labor management, ensuring optimal efficiency.
* Mentor and guide junior members of the team, fostering a collaborative culture that drives high-performance outcomes.
* Maintain stringent food safety, hygiene, and presentation standards across all sections.
Essential Requirements
* Previous experience as a Sous Chef in a 4 or 5-star property.
* Passion for seasonal, local ingredients and a strong commitment to culinary excellence.
* Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and coach junior chefs.
* Calm, professional approach with strong attention to detail and a focus on results.
* Fluent English language skills are essential for effective communication.
