Health, Safety and Environmental Advisor
We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Project Health, Safety and Environmental Advisor. In this role, you will be responsible for guiding and supporting project managers and other personnel in setting up, implementing, and maintaining health, safety, and environmental systems and standards on site.
Your key responsibilities will include promoting safe working practices, ensuring the implementation of company HSE policy and procedures, conducting regular site inspections, providing relevant HSE documentation, and ensuring that HSE project plans meet company standards.
You will also be expected to engage with site managers and sub-contractors in risk assessments and evaluations, deliver HSE training as needed, promote incident prevention initiatives, support project managers in incident investigations, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of health, safety, and environmental legislation.
In addition, you will be required to communicate and demonstrate BAM's HSE ethos, values, and concepts, liaise with relevant authorities, ensure all accidents and incidents are thoroughly investigated, and provide relevant HSE information to the department on a regular basis.
The ideal candidate will possess a Level 7 qualification in Health and Safety, at least three years of successful postgraduate experience in project HSE management, thorough knowledge of ISO: 45001 and ISO: 14001 standards, and the ability to deliver internal health and safety management courses.
