We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Project Manager to oversee the execution of large-scale civil engineering projects in the midlands region.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and coordinate the daily activities of a team of up to 25 personnel and specialist subcontractors, ensuring seamless project execution.
* Develop and implement method statements and risk assessments to guarantee project success.
* Oversee setting out operations, including levelling, total-station, and GPS work, to ensure accuracy and precision.
* Monitor project progress and ensure that all works are carried out in accordance with design drawings and specifications.
* Supervise civil engineering activities such as excavation, shuttering, steel-fixing, concrete works, pipe/culvert lifting and placing, etc., and enforce compliance with relevant health and safety procedures and legislation.
* Maintain accurate records, including Daily Allocation Sheets and Plant Sheets, as well as site progress photographs.
* Coordinate with subcontractors and manage their performance.
* Provide assistance with procurement and supply chain management.
* Attend site meetings and engage with local authorities and stakeholders, including statutory agencies.
* Implement quality management practices, including pre-pour inspections, to ensure high-quality outcomes.
* Ensure adherence to environmental controls during project execution.
* Maintain as-built records for future reference.
