Position
The appointed mobile HSE Advisor role will be responsible for providing a professional health and safety service to all levels of staff working within client organisations.
Responsibilities
Developing and administering procedures (including safety statements, risk assessments, safety‑related protocols, environmental aspects register, etc.) to ensure compliance with health and safety legislative requirements and corporate policy.
Assist in the maintenance and development of ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 as part of the integrated management system.
Conduct risk assessments and ensure control measures are implemented and monitored for Apleona Ireland activities and client projects.
Manage and develop site emergency preparedness and response plans.
Prepare health and safety documentation required for site projects (PSDP/PSCS duties).
Establish and implement contractor safety management arrangements.
Complete DSE workstation assessments.
Complete manual handling training and risk assessments.
Maintain auditing systems in accordance with current environmental & health and safety legislation.
Investigate, formally record and report accidents or incidents onsite or on client sites.
Maintain records and systems necessary to fulfil health and safety policy, including those containing confidential information.
Develop and deliver training to staff in core HSEQ subjects and specialist health and safety areas (e.g., managers & supervisors, risk assessment, hazardous substances, display screen equipment, office safety, fire safety).
Provide advice regarding staff and client HSEQ training and competency requirements.
Produce professional reports to management and clients relating to HSEQ management matters.
Qualifications
Minimum level 7 qualification in health and safety (mandatory).
Experience with ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 9001 management systems.
Proven initiative, problem‑solving skills and innovativeness.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with experience delivering training.
Membership of IOSH (or working towards) or equivalent.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar client‑facing role.
Proficiency in Microsoft IT applications.
Full Clean driving licence and access to own vehicle.
Flexibility to travel as required.
Ideal Requirements
DSE Assessor training and experience in auditing HSEQ management systems.
