Mechanical Workshop Operative Job Profile
Controlled Environments Company (CEC) is a single source supplier and solutions provider to customers operating in critically clean and controlled environments. We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Workshop Operative, to work at our Leixlip location.
Responsibilities
* Assist in the assembly and fabrication of mechanical components, systems, and machinery.
* Use tools and machinery to manufacture parts and components.
* Measure and check dimensions of parts to ensure accuracy and conformity to specifications.
* Perform routine maintenance on mechanical equipment and machinery.
* Diagnose and repair faults or malfunctions in mechanical systems, ensuring timely and efficient repairs.
* Conduct tests and inspections to identify mechanical issues.
* Operate various mechanical equipment and machinery, ensuring proper functioning and adherence to safety protocols.
* Ensure that machines are properly calibrated and maintained.
* Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
* Ensure all equipment is used according to safety guidelines and regulations.
* Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when operating machinery or handling hazardous materials.
* Assist in the management of parts and tools inventory.
* Maintain accurate records of parts used, repairs completed, and equipment maintenance schedules.
* Perform quality control checks on finished products or repairs.
* Ensure that work is completed in line with specifications, and industry /client standards.
Skills And Experience
* Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and workshop machinery such as Lathes, Milling Machines, CNC Routers.
* Knowledge of mechanical principles.
* Previous experience working in a mechanical workshop environment is advantageous.
* Experience with CNC machinery, welding, or specialized mechanical systems
* Experience with CAD/CAM is advantageous.
* An apprenticeship or vocational qualification and or relevant experience in mechanical engineering or a related field is advantageous.
* Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
* Good problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
* Team-oriented with good communication skills.
* The role typically involves working in a workshop or factory environment.
