Technical Support Specialist - Service Operations Coordinator
About the Role
This exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced technical support professional to join our team. As a Technical Support Specialist, you will be responsible for coordinating the day-to-day operations of the service department, providing technical support to field service engineers and customers, and managing customer equipment breakdowns.
Main Responsibilities:
* Coordinate the day-to-day operations of the service department, ensuring seamless delivery of services.
* Provide technical support to field service engineers and customers, resolving queries and issues efficiently.
* Manage customer equipment breakdowns, including Fanuc and Piovan experience, which is highly desirable.
* Liaise with principal partners to source support, parts, and schematics, maintaining strong relationships and resolving issues promptly.
* Maintain and upload RAMS to customer portals, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
* Manage calibration instruments and service documentation, keeping records accurate and organized.
* Update machinery records in the software management system, ensuring data integrity and accessibility.
* Collaborate on service schedules and contribute to operational planning and budgeting, driving business growth and success.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field (preferred).
* Minimum of 10 years' experience in an engineering/manufacturing environment, with a strong focus on maintenance and service.
* Familiarity with plastics machinery, particularly Fanuc and Piovan, which is a significant advantage.
* Previous experience in a maintenance or service-focused role, with a proven track record of delivering results.
* Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings and schematics, demonstrating analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and team collaboration skills, with a proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
