This is a great opportunity for an experienced Data Centre – Managing Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established business and provide Commercial and Contractual expertise to new, and current projects.
Our client is looking for a Data Centre – Managing Quantity Surveyor to join them on multiple Data Centre Projects at one time.
Key responsibilities for this Data Centre – Managing Quantity Surveyor role:
1. Procuring and negotiating contracts with subcontractors and other chosen suppliers/stakeholders – ensuring Governance across all projects.
2. Prepare Tenders to ensure clients receive fair, competitive, and accurate bids from contractors
3. Lead the preparation and management of Project budgets, Forecasts and Cost plans.
4. Attend and represent DPI in client meetings, maintaining strong professional relationships
5. Maintain business and client confidentiality, adhering to applicable Data Protection regulations and Information Security Standards in line with company, and group policies and procedures.
6. Ensure compliance with internal business processes and Construction ERP systems, maintaining accurate project documentation and financial records, ensuring accuracy in data.
7. Lead and uphold Health and Safety standards for employees and third parties, ensuring compliance with company and legal requirements
8. Monitor Financial Performance, Forecast Profitability, and Manage Project Risks and Opportunities, provide monthly and ad-hoc financial reports, evaluate; Negotiate and Mitigate Commercial and Contractual Risks
9. Manage, Lead and Develop a Commercial Team with the support of the Commercial Manager / MQS and SQS, regularly review performance with appraisals and one-to-one sessions with your Direct Reports.
10. Support internal and external Audit processes supported with the relevant documentation and process updates.
Experience required for this Data Centre – Managing Quantity Surveyor role:
11. At least 8 years of experience in Data Centre or Critical Facility sectors, or extensive experience across MEP projects.
12. Experience with FIDIC, and NEC (options A – F) and Bespoke Contracts
13. Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel, as required.
14. Quantity Surveyor Bachelors (required) and Masters (beneficial) or Construction Management.
15. Proven experience in Evaluating, Negotiating and Mitigating Commercial and Contractual Risks
16. Strong Numerical, Analytical, Verbal and Written Communication Skills
Package offered for this Data Centre – Managing Quantity Surveyor role:
17. From up to £120,000 per annum (subject to experience)
