Position Details;Role: Account ManagerLocation: Dublin 2Schedule: Monday- Friday, 45 hoursRole Type: Permanent / Full TimePosition SummaryThe Account Manager serves as the primary operational leader for physical security services on the account. This role provides high-level oversight of all onsite security functions, ensuring the seamless integration of physical staff, security technology, and emergency response protocols to protect life and property.The Account Manager is responsible for the administrative and tactical health of the account, acting as a bridge between GSS Management and frontline security teams. Beyond daily supervision, this role focuses on maintaining rigorous security standards, performance, and driving the continuous improvement of the security program through data-driven metrics and proactive risk assessment.Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Operational OversightSupervision & Management: Oversee daily operations and manage the security and supervisory teams effectively to ensure the account is managed in alignment with client expectations.Staff Development: Manage the continuous training and onboarding of all security officers, ensuring they are suitable for their specific locations and positions.Performance Management: Input, review, and manage regular staff appraisals, including documented annual reviews and necessary follow-ups.Logistics & Scheduling: Manage team rota schedules and plan annual leave to ensure consistent operational coverage across the site.Operational Standards: Enforce all policies from the employee handbook, Synergy Security Solutions documentation, and the Client Integrated Contingency Plan. Develop training programs, provide operational management, and maintain strategic oversight of the Regional Security Operations Centre covering EMEA & APAC territoriesIntelligence & InvestigationIncident Management: Oversee the timely and accurate reporting of all incidents and ensure thorough follow-up actions are completed.Investigation Matters: Lead and support investigation matters and sensitive inquiries as required by the Regional Security Manager.Continuous Assessment: Conduct regular assessments of the client site and surrounding areas to identify threats and suggest immediate improvements.Metrics & Reporting: Collect and analyse site metrics to demonstrate the activity and performance of security operations, including participation in the QBR (Quarterly Business Review) process.Technical & Facility SecuritySecurity Technology: Ensure the functionality and optimal use of security technology, including access control systems and the Guard Presence System (proof of presence tours).Access Compliance: Coordinate base building access compliance and oversee the issuance of access badges for employees and visitors.Emergency Readiness: Coordinate weekly/monthly drills (Fire, Exercise, or client-required drills) and ensure robust emergency response capabilities.Vendor & Stock Management: Support physical guarding delivery and manage uniform stock and issuance procedures.Professionalism & ComplianceStakeholder Liaison: Act as a key point of contact for local company management, vendor teams, and client groups to communicate security impacts.Policy Implementation: Ensure all company documentation is kept updated and approved, implementing systems and controls as outlined in corporate policies.Representation: Attend and contribute to meetings and workshops as directed, maintaining a proactive and professional demeanor at all times.Skills and QualificationsThe following technical, interpersonal, and management skills are essential for this role:Experience: 5+ years in physical safety specialist roles with an emphasis on managing cross-functional teams.Industry Knowledge: Previous experience within the security industry and exposure to physical security operations.Technical Systems: Essential experience with Access Control Systems and technology.Education: Degree in Business Management, a security-related discipline, or equivalent.Certification: Valid Security Industry certification/PSA license is required.Technical SkillsProficiency in G Suite applications: Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Spaces.Technical writing and presentation development.Analytical and problem-solving skills.Communication SkillsExcellent communication skills, both written and oral.Facilitation and presentation skills for stakeholder meetings.Core Management/People Skills and AttributesStrong People Management: Proven ability to lead, mentor, and manage large teams.Organizational Excellence: Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a high-pressure environment.Proactive Approach: Constantly seeking improvements in processes and sourcing new work practices/technologies.Flexibility: Ability to function effectively in stressful situations and adapt to changing client requirements.Integrity: Maintaining high standards of professional conduct and attention to detail.PSA Security Licence
