Reporting to the Site Manager and based in our Ballitore site, we are looking for an experienced Production Manager to join the team.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, organize, and direct optimum day-to-day operations to exceed our customers' expectations
Responsible for the execution of the production plan and ensuring demands of central planning and customers can be met by the Ballitore team
Manage operations team through the shift managers
Cover for shift managers where necessary
Manage local IR issue with trade union
Embed 3M process in the operations team
Chairs Weekly Operations Meeting (Tier2)/ Manages Actions from the same.
Owner of equipment from a change control standpoint
Responsible for Production related downtime (CIPs, startups, adherence to production schedule)
Accountable for adherence to all quality and EHS systems
Responsible for environment health and safety performance/behaviour of the operations team.
Manage production facing contracts
Cleaners, contract forklift drivers
Responsible for embedding values and behaviours amongst operation team
Feedback to SLT stakeholders on management processes and in particular, highlight issues that impact upon the operations team
Increase production, assets capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards
Be responsible for production output and finished product quality
Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results
Implement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus to the production team
Work with the HR Business partner to recruit, manage and develop plant staff
Leadership role in the operational management of the Plant playing a key role in the delivery of the core Plant KPIs
Actively lead and promote a culture of Safety, Compliance, Excellence and Continuous Improvement within the Operations teams
Input to Ballitore's Change Control management system in line with the requirements of the production environment
Continuously improve operating performance through development and implementation of strategies for capacity enhancement, customer fulfilment & efficiency
Key Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years' experience in a management role in a food manufacturing or pharmaceutical environment
Advanced organisation and planning skills.
Demonstrated knowledge of RCA tools (Root Cause Analysis) and lean manufacturing techniques.
Ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Experience in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Process Improvement or product development,
Results driven, customer focused with high performance capability in a fast moving challenging business environment
Demonstrate strong technical ability and attention to detail to do the job at a high level of accomplishment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to bring people with them for the best outcomes
Ability to analyse data, recognise trends and recommend actions to drive continuous improvement
