GerTEK is an engineering consultancy company specialising in project management, talent solutions, and commissioning qualification and validation services. We partner with many of the world's largest life science & technology companies who entrust us to deliver their most strategic and important projects with our technically strong personnel ensuring all important activities meet both current requirements and client's needs. We have multiple projects that we support, and we are looking to add to our team. We are interested in talking to you if you fit the criteria outlined below:


Title: Mechanical Engineer


Major Duties and Responsibilities:

* Manage the execution of projects within the group.
* Carry out and implement equipment and process improvement initiatives.
* Ensure the performance of day-to-day preventative and demand maintenance activity to maintain manufacturing and utility equipment.
* Establish with the Site Engineering Services Manager the performance goals, schedules, and timetables for activities.
* Assist with the management and support of manufacturing/utility/facility project plans.
* Coordinate maintenance of manufacturing & facility equipment to required maintenance schedules.
* Prepare capital expenditure requests for the facility, plant, and equipment.
* Develop monthly engineering metrics for operations, utilities, and facilities, including ownership of Site Maintenance Excellence Program to drive operational improvements including implementing cost savings.
* Ensure successful agency, external, divisional, and corporate audits as they relate to engineering compliance systems.
* Issue management reports as requested and on time.
* Manage relevant budgets within target.
* Cross-train within the department to ensure appropriate preventive maintenance schedules are achieved.
* Ensure safety standards are met and safe working practices adhered to.
* Implement equipment/process upgrades in an environment of continuous improvement.
* Support the Engineering Team in ensuring that manufacturing equipment is maintained to meet the required legal, divisional, and corporate standards.
* Liaise with Global Engineering as required.
* Ensure the effective management of appropriate internal and external plant projects.
* Implement all relevant policies relating to Quality, Engineering & Safety.
* Supervise external contractors, including development of performance metrics for third-party service providers of site services.
* Negotiate cost and drive quality & performance with external contractors.
* Prepare appropriate CAPA plans and implement timelines.


Qualifications:

* Bachelor's Degree: Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Biomedical, Electronics) or Relevant Discipline
* Ideally 5+ years of relevant experience
