Key Responsibilities

* Lead automation projects, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
* Develop and debug PLC programs and HMI screens.
* Collaborate with the engineering design team on process flow diagrams, software design specifications, and test plans.
* Work with various software platforms including Allen Bradley, Beckhoff, and Siemens.
* Analyze, fault‑find, and modify software programs both in-house and on customer sites.
* Develop automation documentation and specify hardware for projects.
* Ensure compliance with company standards and maintain software quality.
* Communicate effectively with the automation team, project designers, and other stakeholders.
* Complete automation tasks within budget and schedule.
* Provide technical support to customers and train junior staff as needed.


What Skills You Need

* Third level qualification in electronics, automation, computer science, or a related engineering discipline.
* Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in PLC program development with Allen‑Bradley, Beckhoff, or Siemens.
* Strong understanding of machine automation logic and motion control.
* Experience in developing HMIs or other operator interfaces.
* Advantageous but not essential: Robotics integration (KUKA, ABB, Fanuc) and machine vision integration (Cognex, Keyence).
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* Self‑motivated with a focus on meeting deadlines.
* Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
* Current driving licence and flexibility to travel as required.
