Due to expansion, a food & ingredients company north of Dublin is seeking to hire a Finance manager to help further an ambitious plan set by the directors and support this momentum.
The Role:
As Finance Manager you will take ownership of the core financial processes, ensure accurate reporting, and contribute to strategic initiatives including pricing, internal controls, and financial planning. Reporting to the Finance Director, this is an ideal role for someone who enjoys both detail-oriented execution and process improvement within a fast-paced, expanding business

Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage daily financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance
* Prepare and manage monthly management accounts, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations
* Assist with cash flow forecasting and working capital management
* Support budgeting and forecasting processes
* Help to price customer contracts and maintain up-to-date pricing databases
* Implement and enhance internal controls and financial processes
* Liaise with external auditors, accountants, and tax advisors
* Oversee VAT and other statutory returns
* Support the Finance Director with financial analysis and ad hoc projects
* Mentor and supervise the Accounts Assistant, ensuring accurate data entry and reporting
Skills & Experience Required:
* Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or similar), or qualified by experience with strong SME background
* 3–5 years of hands-on experience in a finance/accounting role, ideally within the food or manufacturing industry
* Knowledge of accounting systems and good Excel skills
* Strong organizational skills, along with good leadership and communication skills
* Experience with product costing and pricing is a strong advantage
* Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment
* Excellent attention to detail, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
